VILLAGE RUGS

Village carpets are classified between tribal rugs and workshop carpets. Since the some of the tribal people preferred settled life during centuries and mixed with the village populations, village rugs today offers most amazing variations of colors, designs and symbols originating the tribal and nomadic art. These rugs primarily are with medallions, repeating geometric patterns . There is great use of tree of life and mihrap (praying niche) patters.
