OUR OVERSIZE RUGS We started this project after having acquainted with one of the Kuwait Sheiks Naser El Sabah at our shop in Bodrum. He ordered various size of double knotted Turkish carpet are made of naturel and vegateble dyes totalling one thousand four hundred (1400 m²) square meter. Its size were five meters to thirteen meters (5m x 13 m) and eight meter seventy centimeter to nineteen meters and twenty centimeters (8.70m x 19.20m). After our researches and close interest of Niğde's Governor Mr.Refik Ozturk We decided to have these carpets woven in Niğde. One of these carpets totaly 167 m². Based on our researches this is biggest the Turkish carpet manufactured by naturel and vegetable dyes , double knot and wool on wool. Its a single piece. The carpet was woven by 13 (thirteen) young girls in 14 (fourteen) months. It decorates Sheikhs Place in Kuwait now. After This successful project of carpet product Some of our customer asked us to produce bigger than first large carpet. Now This carpet is on the loom. 7 girls will finish it in 78 (seventy eight) weeks. The carpet is going to be twenty five meter to six meter and seventyfive centimeters (25m x 6.75m ). It will be a record: 168,75 m². We will see it Book of Records in Guinness Book. |
