RUGS OF EASTERN ANATOLIA

Due to great migrations and seasonal moves of etnique groups, it is difficult to locate the origin of some of the patterns and designs. Because of this reason, the rugs of the East are not named after the cities where they are made but where they are sold. Woven at horizontal and vertical looms, the rugs of eastern Turkey offer us great variety of designs and patterns such as medallion, mihraps, animal designs, landscapes.
